Youth Protection Training
Pack 4380 prides itself on having well trained leaders and parents.
Our Pack has adopted the policy this year that the parent(s) that attends the Tiger den meetings and the adults that go camping with us, or that come in direct contact with the scouts, must be YPT trained. We do encourage both parents to be trained if that is possible.
To get your Youth Protection Certification, complete the following steps:
1. Go to www.scouting.org.
2. Click Parent on the top bar.
3. Click Training on the top bar.
4. Under Youth Protection, click Cub Scout.
5. Second box down in the middle says "Cub Scout Leader Youth Protection Training", click Online Course.
6. You will have to sign in our create an account with www.scouting.org.
7. Once logged in, you will be at the E-Learning Course Management System page.
8. Scroll down to the box at the bottom and click "Take Course" next to Youth Protection Training.
It takes less than 30 minutes to complete this online course.
You will need to know that our Council is Circle 10 - Dallas and our Unit Number is Pack 1113.
Don't worry about your BSA number.
Print out your certificate, scan it, and email the file to Wesley Keller.
